Credits are our unit of measurement for TTS usage. 1 credit = 100 characters. Credits are consumed when generating new audio. Cached content (text we've already converted) doesn't count against your quota.
Can I switch plans?
Yes, upgrade or downgrade at any time. Changes take effect immediately. Downgrades are pro-rated to your next billing cycle.
What happens if I exceed my credit limit?
We'll notify you before you hit your limit. You can upgrade instantly, or enable overages if you've opted in. We don't auto-charge overages or cut off service without warning.
How do overages work?
Overage usage fees are $5 per 1,000 credits for standard voices, or $10 per 1,000 credits for HD voices. Overages must be enabled in your account settings. This helps prevent surprise charges while giving you flexibility for occasional spikes.
